White Roses

Happy Memorial Day!!

There is something so classy about a vase full of white roses. Flowers are that little touch that just pulls a room together. But, for someone that works 8 hours a day, maintaing fresh flowers is just out of the question. So my alternative to fresh is fake. I purhased one bundle of twelve roses from Old Time Pottery for $6.99 and was able to get two flower arrangements out of it! The painted rocks and moss was purchased at the Dollar Tree. Very budget friendly. The total cost for my project was $12.49 for BOTH arrangements.

The Coffee Table

Can you really believe how much a simple coffee table costs?? It is ridiculous! The thought of building one ourselves did not even cross our minds until I stumbled upon Ana White's web page. She is amazing to say the least. She has created designs and instructions on how to build just about anything from scratch. Check out her page here. We decided to try and build the Tryde Coffee Table. We followed her directions and successfully built it!

We did put our own touch on it by beating and banging on it to make it look worn...

We even carved our initials on the side of it.
